  I went to the new AAA facility on Rt. 59, by the Mall, for an oil change, because my car was overdue, they could get me in almost immediately, and I had a AAA coupon for a $23.95 oil change. After completing the oil change, they told me (1) there was seepage around the oil pan, and I should have the gasket replaced; and (2) the front struts were leaking, and should be replaced. They gave me a quote for both jobs.
  
  Then I went to Douglas Automotive:
  
  They took a look, then explained that, with the location of my oil filter, anytime someone changed the oil it was likely to drip on the rim of the oil pan. Since oil was not dripping from the pan, and there was no "seepage" on the side of the pan opposite the oil filter, the "seepage" might be nothing more than where some drips of oil have hit the rim of the pan, on prior oil changes, and migrated around part of the rim. Their solution: clean the rim of the pan, and at the NEXT oil change, if there's new "seepage", it's time to replace the gasket. Price quote: less than AAA.
  
  Then, they confirmed that the struts were leaking. (Not to be completely unexpected after 8 1/2 years and 73,000 miles.) Given that I have not yet experienced any symptoms of bad struts, they said that it was not urgent, but the clock was running on replacing the struts. Price quote: less than AAA.
  
  And this is why I trust Douglas Automotive: common sense approach, and not overpriced.
